May Newsletter
Dear friends, customers and supporters,
I wanted to take a moment to share something from the heart.
We started 2025 with a few changes – a smaller menu, ordering at the bar, and no evening service. At the time, those choices made sense. But looking back, I can see they took away some of what made The Warren special.
After plenty of reflection and honest conversations – both with you and with the team – I’ve decided it’s time to bring back what we all loved most: table service, evening openings, and our much-missed burgers.
I’ve come to realise that success in hospitality isn’t about doing everything – it’s about doing one thing brilliantly and becoming known for it. For us, that thing is is going to be burgers. So we’re going all in to make them the best they’ve ever been!
Balancing The Warren with my growing commitment to Cegin Hedyn hasn’t been easy. I still struggle to give both the attention they deserve & I’m learning (sometimes the hard way) that I can’t do it all. What I can do is build the right team, simplify, and focus on what we do best. This next chapter is about clarity, heart, and doing fewer things better.
Before I go any further, I want to give a huge shoutout to my fellow directors & chef Sam at Cegin Hedyn and all the incredible volunteers at the kitchen & allotments who give up their time to support our community. It’s an absolute privilege to be working alongside you.
We’re taking this week off to get everything ready – and we’ll be back open on Thursday 15th May.
Our new menus are now live and ready for you to explore & I'd love to hear your thoughts in the comments.
With love and gratitude,
Deri
& The Warren team x
