The Warren

Every Sunday until Christmas11 Mansel Street

Sunday lunch
in Carmarthen.

One sitting. One menu. Twenty-four seats.

It is the only thing we are doing. Everyone sits down at midday to the same set menu, with a meat main and a vegetarian one, cooked by the person whose name is over the door.

Plated starters lined up along the pass at The Warren, ready to go out, with bread bowls in front of them

How it works

One table's worth of people, once a week. We cook one menu, built around whatever the farms have actually got, so it changes every Sunday and we will tell you what it is before you come.

There is no à la carte, no second sitting and no rushing you out. You sit down at midday and the afternoon is yours.

One thing about dogs. We love them, we always have been a place you could bring yours, and we will be again. Sunday lunch is the exception: one room, one sitting, everyone eating at the same time. It is not much of an afternoon for a dog and it is a lot to ask of the room. Bring them any other time and we will be genuinely pleased to see them.

More than 10? Ring us and we will sort it.

Children eat the same menu at £30. The £21 a head that holds the table is the same whatever the age.

One menu, with a meat main and a vegetarian one. You can change this by ringing us up to the Saturday.

Deposit today £42 £21 a head, off the bill on the day

Where would you like to sit? Same lunch, same price, either way.

In case anything changes on the day.

Your confirmation and that week's menu go here.

Tell us who and what, and leave it empty if there are none. One chef cooks one menu for the whole room, so we will tell you honestly what we can and cannot do rather than guess. You can change this any time before Sunday, and we will remind you.

We do not have an accessible toilet. We would rather say so now than have you find out on the day. Tell us what you need and we will tell you honestly whether we can manage it, and if we cannot, we will say that too.

The deposit, plainly

£21 a head. It comes off your bill on the day, so a table of four pays £84 now and £84 less at the end.

A week's notice, and you get it back. Ring or email us seven days or more before your Sunday and we refund the whole deposit. No reason needed and nothing to argue about.

Less than a week, and we will try. By then the food is bought and one chef has shopped for the exact number of people who said they were coming. We will offer your seats to anyone waiting, and if they go, you choose: your money back, or your table moved to another Sunday. If they do not go, we are afraid the deposit stays with us.

Book right up to the day. There is no deadline. If the room has space on Sunday morning it is yours, and the page will tell you honestly whether it has. Bookings only close when the lunch starts.
