- Is The Warren for sale?
Yes. It is on the market through BJ Properties in Carmarthen.
If this does not work, and the support is not there for a viable future, I will sell 11 Mansel Street and find a different project.
This is an honest attempt to find out whether there is another way.
- Is The Warren definitely reopening?
No, not yet. These pilots are to test the demand, build the team and find out whether it can work. Reopening for good depends on what we learn.
- Why will it be different this time?
I am not the man I was ten years ago. I want different things, and I understand myself better than I ever have.
I also have a community and a following in Carmarthen, and a reputation I hope still counts for something in the trade.
Most of all, my brother is helping me with the parts I find hard and he finds interesting.
And the whole approach is built to share the load. The Warren’s future cannot depend on one person carrying every decision.
- Why are you doing this?
I put my life into The Warren. It means far too much to let it go without doing everything I can to protect it. So that is what I am going to do.
- Where do I park?
The easiest place is St Catherine’s Walk, the multi storey car park on St Catherine Street. It is open all hours and it is about five minutes’ walk from our door.
There is a little parking on Mansel Street itself, but it goes quickly.
Coming by train? Carmarthen station is about fifteen minutes on foot, straight up King Street.
