Volunteer

Much of this depends on people giving us their time. Preparing the building, a shift behind the bar, baking bread, helping at an event, or lending professional expertise.

We do not expect anyone to volunteer forever. The goal is that everyone in the core team is properly paid.

Become a director

This does not work without people who care about the same things and bring different skills. We will take the time to get that team right.

Anyone interested would work with the project on a trial basis first, so everyone can see how they work together before anything is formalised.

We are especially interested in finance, governance, hospitality, community development, fundraising, HR, property, marketing and food.

Make a pledge

A pledge is not sponsorship, and it is not money now.

It is a conditional commitment: if we form the organisation and reach the goals we set, you would support it. That might be:

  • A collaboration with another community company
  • Professional services
  • Equipment or materials
  • A financial contribution

5 people have already pledged

  • Pax
  • Philippa
  • Viv
  • Maxine
  • Samuel

This is not an investment. It offers no ownership, no shares, no financial return and no membership of anything. It is an indication that you would like to help, so we can count. Nothing is owed and no money moves. If the organisation is ever formed, we come back and ask you properly, and you are free to say no.

Attend an event

We will be running events soon, with sliding-scale prices so the money is not what decides who comes.

Eat with us, bring someone you love, or buy the ticket to gift someone else.

Book the whole place

The Warren to yourself for a celebration, a team day or a private dinner. Packages built around the group, the budget and the occasion.

Consultancy and mentoring

Book Deri to work on your idea or mentor your project. Hospitality, community food, ethical business, crowdfunding, project development, and what burnout teaches you.

Everything helps, and nobody should feel pushed into giving money. Sharing this, filling in a survey, coming to an event or giving a little time is worth as much.
